Wall Putty

ULTRA WALL CARE PUTTY is a white cement based polymer modified wall putty specially developed as a finish coat to cover unevenness and pinholes in plastered surfaces and to make the walls/ceilings ready for painting. As it is white, it can be treated as a base coat for painting. Wall putty contains finest quality minerals, white cement and polymers.

Coverage

UNICHEM WALL PUTTY Covers approximately 18-20 s.q.ft. per kg for 2 coats, maintaining a maximum thickness of 1-2 mm on smooth plaster surface.

Application Method

  • Clear the uneven sand projection in plaster surface with putty blade.
  • Clean the smooth plaster surface from dust with water.
  • Mix UNICHEM WALL PUTTY with water in ratio 1:3.
  • Mix it with mixer / hand mix till it attains a consistent and uniform paste of workable consistency.
  • Leaving the mix for 10 minutes gives better result before applying.
  • Clean and pre wet the plaster surface before applying.

Application

Dampen the surface to be plastered with clean water, Allow excess water to drain off. • Using a steel trowel / blade, apply the above mix to a thickness of about 0.5 — 1 mm, Level and smoothen the surface and cure the first coat lightly after it dries • Apply the second coat of 0.5 —1 mm after the first coat has fully dried and set. In areas of high temperature & low humidity light curing for two days is recommended. • The thickness of each coat should not exceed 1 mm and total plaster thickness should not exceed 2 mm. • Smoothen with a steel trowel, sand paper if so desired with 600 no. of sand paper.
